¡Así fue nuestra primera Galla Week! 🎉🐶
From November 18 to 25, 2024, we celebrated our first Galla Week , a week full of purpose, teamwork and lots of love. But this wasn't just a commercial campaign: it was our way of making a difference for those who don't have a voice, our four-legged friends.

The story behind Galla Week

We are Stephanie and Edgardo, the creators of Galla. Besides being passionate entrepreneurs, we are the proud "parents" of three wonderful dogs: Zeus , Perla , and Klaus .

They are our joy after long work days, grueling events and endless production. Their energy comforts us, their loyalty inspires us and their love reminds us of the importance of family ties, even in the most unexpected ways. But we can't help but think of those little animals who don't have the home, care or food they enjoy every day.

This constant reflection motivated us to create Galla Week 2024. We wanted to use the resources we have at our disposal, our brand and, above all, our community, to make visible the reality that thousands of animals in Puerto Rico face: overpopulation, abandonment and abuse.

Our goal was clear: to turn each purchase into a step towards a better future for these beings who need it so much.

The impact of Galla Week in numbers:

Thanks to the support of our community, we achieved:

  • 📦 299 orders placed.
  • 💵 $1,886.93 raised.

Where will this amount go?

The total amount raised was distributed equally between three wonderful NGOs that dedicate their efforts to saving lives and offering second chances:

  1. Humane Society of Puerto Rico

    Founded in 1958, the Humane Society of Puerto Rico is a nonprofit organization committed to the welfare of animals on the island. They operate a shelter that encourages responsible adoption and have a veterinary clinic that offers preventive health services at low cost. Their mission is "to promote a shared sense of social responsibility by achieving a better quality of life for animals."

  2. Luna Vet Help

    Luna Vet Help, created by Dr. Adriana Luna, is an organization that provides low-cost veterinary assistance and promotes education on animal welfare and public health. It actively participates in vaccination and sterilization campaigns to control animal overpopulation in Puerto Rico, and is dedicated to raising awareness in the community about the importance of preventive care.

  3. Happy Little Tail

    Founded in 2012, Rabito Kontento is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of abandoned animals in Puerto Rico. They have saved and relocated more than 1,000 animals, offering them a second chance. They also lead programs such as EduKa , focused on educating communities and schools about respect and animal welfare, and Rabito Therapy Dogs , which brings therapy dogs to hospitals and nursing homes to provide emotional support. Their work is made possible by donations and committed volunteers.

Each received a contribution of $628.98 , transferred through ATH Móvil and PayPal to ensure transparency in the process.

Behind the scenes: the process of Galla Week

This initiative was not only a solidarity campaign, but also an experience full of love and effort. Throughout the week:

    📦 We packed and shipped 299 orders , each with the hope that it would help an animal in need.
    ✨ We create our foot balms by hand, making sure to maintain the quality that characterizes Galla.
    🐾 Even our dogs, Zeus , Perla , and Klaus , joined in on the action for a family Christmas photoshoot that symbolizes the love and joy we want to spread.

    Beyond a campaign: the beginning of a movement

    Galla Week 2024 doesn’t end here. This was our first experience organizing a social impact campaign, but it won’t be the last. We want to continue building a community that not only consumes quality products, but also gets involved in causes that matter.
